​The Government’s Spending Review is currently taking place, and PACEY has submitted a response to HM Treasury to highlight key issues. 

The spending review will shape Government’s multi-year budget and spending plans, prioritising delivery of its key ‘Missions’ outlined in the Plan for Change. Early years is a focus in this plan, with ambitious targets aimed at ensuring the best start for life for every child. 

PACEY is calling for a workforce strategy to address the decline in childminder numbers, reform of the funding system, and measures to ensure fair and equal access to government funded schemes for all children regardless of their circumstances. The outcome of the Spending Review will be published in late spring.
