Katie Crouch, Senior Lecturer and Research Fellow at Bath Spa University and mother to two neurodivergent children. Katie will be talking about how to support families during the diagnosis process, from the initial concern to education, health and care plans (EHCP).
Music and movement = Language and literacy
In this session Boogie Mites Trainer, Liv McLennan, gives us an overview of the neuroscience evidence and what music activities work to build strong foundations for phonological awareness, language and literacy. You will learn three Boogie Mites songs, an action song, a themed song and a junk percussion song, which we will all take part in together. This will also demonstrate how music makes bonds and uplifts the group, how it impacts attention, memory and reward. Break
