PACEY has recently received a letter from The Rt Hon Bridget Phillipson MP, Secretary of State for Education in response to our letter welcoming her to the role.

In her letter, the Secretary of State outlines her vision to:

“deliver better life chances for all, through a system which works for all” and commits to work with the entire education workforce. She recognises childminders as a key part of the early years sector and commits to “consider carefully the impact and opportunities that reforms present for childminders.”

PACEY will work closely with the Secretary of State, Minister for Children and Families (Stephen Morgan MP), the Department for Education and other government departments as reforms to improve the early years and childcare sector develop. We will continue to raise the voices of our members to ensure that registered childminders, nannies, nursery staff and the whole workforce are represented in the government’s plans.
